Uniting for Development Strategies from the Permanent Secretaries’ Meeting

'}}

I met with the Permanent Secretaries yesterday in Entebbe, where they briefed me on several issues, including performance gaps and other challenges affecting wealth creation, development, and service delivery in their ministries. I reiterated my commitment to supporting their effective supervision and the implementation of government policies.

Our society must undergo socio-economic transformation through four sectors: commercial agriculture, manufacturing, services, and ICT. Therefore, when the Permanent Secretaries understand this, it is very encouraging, and I am pleased about that. The issue of fighting corruption is significant, and we shall defeat it. I thank the Head of Public Service, Lucy Nakobye, for organising the meeting.
