Empowering the Masses: Promoting Inclusivity and Economic Growth in Kanungu

I thank the Banyakigezi group for inviting me to Kanungu district today. My message to all these groups is ensuring we get our people into the money economy and out of poverty. I also advised them to proceed cautiously with the Banyakigezi initiative to avoid making mistakes. The NRM has consistently emphasized the mass-line principle over the elite-line, ensuring that we leave no one behind. Initiatives like mass immunization have contributed to Uganda's population growing to 46 million, alongside other programs such as Bonna Basome and later, Bonna Bagagawale—Prosperity for All. An over-emphasis on tribes or origins can undermine Uganda’s socio-economic transformation and progress.
