Reflecting on the NRM’s Secular and Spiritual Missions at the Sita Thanksgiving

Maama Janet and I were pleased to attend The 14th annual Tarehe Sita Thanksgiving service ceremony at the UPDF headquarters in Mbuya. The UPDF succeeded because we were fighting for a just cause (kulwanira amazima). Initially the Army was more secular however we found a linkage between the secular aims of the NRM and the spiritual. On the secular, we identified 3 historical missions: prosperity for our people; how do we achieve strategic security for africa; how do we use the brotherhood of the african people. It is because of these that we identified our ideological principles.
