Today, in Abu Dhabi, I shared how in 1986, only coffee from the 3Cs and tobacco from the 3Ts were thriving. Since then, we've undergone 5 phases of growth: Reviving parts of the 3Cs & 3Ts; Expanding: more coffee, tea, tourism, etc. Diversifying the economy with fruits, fish, dairy, beef, and more; Adding value to raw materials like textiles and sugar; Entering the knowledge economy with products like automobiles and vaccines But to achieve this, we needed peace, infrastructure, and a skilled, healthy population. We've invested in electricity, roads, schools, and health centers. As a result, our economy has grown from $4bn in 1986 to $55bn (forex) or $168.5bn (PPP) today.
