Unlocking Uganda’s Potential Journey Towards Sustainable Economic Development

'}}

I delivered a keynote speech at the 11th Session of the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (ARFSD), detailing Uganda’s economic phases from the enclave economy of the 3Ts and 3Cs plundered by Idi Amin, to minimum recovery, diversification, value addition, and now, the economy of knowledge through making vaccines and automobiles. This means that the solutions are with us, once we tackle the 10 strategic bottlenecks pegging us back. For instance, Uganda has 40m acres suitable for agriculture, if we use only 7m of these acres and everyone creates 7 jobs, we shall create over 100m jobs, and yet jobs are not only to be created in Agriculture. We have industries, services, and ICT.
