Insights from the Southern and Eastern Africa Chief Justices’ Forum, Fostering Justice Through Prosperity

'}}

Yesterday, I officially opened the Southern and Eastern Africa Chief Justices’ forum at Speke Resort Munyonyo. I thank Their Lordships for selecting Uganda as the venue for their meeting. In our opinion, justice is more attainable when societal conditions are improved. Economic growth and prosperity make it easier to address issues related to justice. As a country's economy expands, families and individuals flourish, and the government has the resources to support the judiciary. Prosperity leads to increased income for families and businesses, which enhances living standards, housing, healthcare, and nutrition. Economic prosperity also allows governments to provide better support for the army.
