I addressed the leaders of the Tooro sub-region this afternoon in Kyegegwa District, where my message to them was to shift their focus from secondary issues and prioritise wealth creation at the household level as the most effective way to eradicate poverty across Uganda. While infrastructure development is important, the transformation of livelihoods begins with boosting household incomes. All leaders should emphasise wealth creation because it will reach every home. We, the freedom fighters, brought peace. Even if there are infrastructure issues, peace is already established, so it is essential to start advocating for increased household incomes. That’s what I did in the cattle corridor, and it worked. I will address this further at the public rally tomorrow.
