President Museveni is pleased with the progress of the Atiak Sugar factory in Amuru district as part of our economic re-organization efforts. He thanked leaders like Hon. Norbert Mao and the family of Mzee John Omaya for standing up for development in the area, despite opposition. The President intervened in the matter because we've learned to combat divisive tactics based on misinformation.
He believes the Atiak and Lakang projects, along with other government initiatives, will fuel growth in the region. President Museveni extends his congratulations to Mama Amina Hersi, the government, and the people of Amuru district.
