Later in the afternoon, I drove to Butaleja district and addressed the district leaders from the subregion. We discussed strategies for eliminating poverty through wealth creation. I urged the leaders to advise our people on optimal crop choices to minimise losses and combat poverty. Currently, farmers earn Ug. Shs. 3 million per acre of rice annually, which is insufficient considering their investment. I encouraged exploring fish farming on wetland edges, which has shown greater profitability.
