Concerning landslides, it’s clear that these areas were meant for forests rather than habitation, yet some leaders have exploited this situation for political gain, resulting in tragic loss of life. Many in our community still use reeds for building. Plans are in place to engage with the Ministry of Housing to provide cement blocks as support, alongside efforts to improve mountain roads despite challenges posed by volcanic soil. I thank the people of Bugisu for the warm welcome.
