Presidential Skilling Hub in Masaka Empowers Ugandan Youth

Mr. Kazibwe Jamir, leading the ONC team in Greater Masaka, recently inspected the progress of the Presidential Skilling Hub in Masaka. This hub, established by HE Yoweri Museveni, aims to provide practical skills to Ugandans, regardless of their educational background.

During the inspection, Mr Munyami Baker, the centre's manager, guided the ONC team through the various training programs offered, including shoe making, tailoring, welding, carpentry, hairdressing, bricklaying, and construction.

The students at the centre expressed their gratitude to HE Yoweri Museveni for the establishment of the hub and requested additional centres at the district level to accommodate more individuals in need of skills training.

Remarkably, the students at the hub do not pay any fees, as their training is fully facilitated by the Statehouse of Uganda.

In a promising development, the ONC team pledged to collaborate with their superior, Hajjat Hadija Namyalo, to provide startup packages for graduates, enabling them to start their businesses and earn a livelihood immediately after completing their training.
