ONC Launches Vote Protectors Identification Exercise

The Office of the NRM National Chairman (ONC) in Kyambogo today hosted the official launch of the Vote Protectors Identification Exercise, a key initiative aimed at preparing for the 2026 General Elections. The event, attended by high-ranking NRM officials, was graced by Al-Hajji Moses Kigongo, the 1st National Vice Chairman of the NRM, who delivered an inspiring message while flagging off the Coordinators tasked with recruiting Vote Protectors.

In his remarks, Al-Hajji Moses Kigongo urged the Coordinators to remain humble, focused, and disciplined as they carry out the important task of identifying Vote Protectors across the country. He emphasized that their work is not only crucial to ensuring that H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s vote is protected, but it will also be vital in securing the NRM’s victory at all levels of the upcoming elections.

"This is a team that will not only work for the National Chairman but will also play a key role in guaranteeing the NRM's success at various election levels," Kigongo noted, reinforcing the importance of their mission to uphold democratic values and electoral integrity.

The event, organized under the stewardship of Senior Presidential Advisor/Personal Assistant Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, highlighted the importance of discipline and diligence in the recruitment process. Speaking to the Coordinators, Hajjat Namyalo stressed the responsibility placed upon them to ensure that only the most committed and trustworthy individuals are selected to serve as Vote Protectors.

“This is not a small task. It is a mission that requires full dedication and commitment to our party and country,” Hajjat Namyalo said, adding that the exercise is designed to ensure the protection of votes for the NRM National Chairman, H.E. President Museveni, in the 2026 General Elections.

The Vote Protectors Identification Exercise is a nationwide initiative aimed at preparing a network of individuals to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process. The ONC, under the guidance of Hajjat Namyalo, will continue to oversee and monitor the progress of the exercise to ensure its successful implementation across all regions. The event was attended by members of the NRM Central Executive Committee (CEC)
