Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Joins Buganda Kingdom for Ramadan Iftar, Announces Plans for Street Iftar

This evening, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye (@ChiefMuzzukulu), the Manager of the Office of the National Chairman, joined fellow Muslims at Bulange, Mengo, for a special Iftar dinner hosted by the Buganda Kingdom.

The event, organized in partnership with Airtel Uganda, is a significant annual tradition held on the first Friday of Ramadan.

The Iftar gathering brought together distinguished guests, including the Deputy Katikkiro (Deputy Prime Minister) of Buganda and religious leaders. The Super Mufti, Sheikh Muhammad Galabuzi, led the event as the chief guest. The evening was filled with prayers, reflection, and a strong sense of unity as attendees broke their fast in an atmosphere of faith and cultural heritage.

Speaking to the media after the event, @ChiefMuzzukulu announced plans to organize a "Street Iftar", an inclusive event aimed at bringing together Muslims from all backgrounds. While she did not reveal the exact date, she assured the public that details would be shared soon.

"We want to create an Iftar where every Muslim, regardless of their status, can come together and break the fast. This will promote unity, charity, and togetherness during this holy month," Hajjat Hadijah stated.

Her announcement was widely welcomed, with many appreciating the initiative as a way to strengthen community bonds and support those who may not have access to large Iftar gatherings.

The Buganda Kingdom, under the leadership of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, continues to promote interfaith harmony by organizing such events. The participation of leaders like Hajjat Namyalo highlights the importance of collaboration between cultural institutions and government representatives in fostering peace and religious inclusivity.
