Sending Ugandan Students to Iran

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Uganda, H.E Majid Saffar, recently bid farewell to Ugandan students embarking on a journey to Tehran to pursue university studies across various disciplines.

The event, held at ONC HQs Kyambogo, saw a group of students who had secured scholarships from Iran, facilitated by the National Chairman of the NRM, H.E President Yoweri Museveni.

Ambassador Saffar encouraged the students to prioritize their education, emphasizing their role in Uganda's development upon their return. He reassured them of continued support throughout their academic journey.

Hajjat Hadijah Namayalo Uzeiye, ONC Manager SPA/PA, extended gratitude to the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran for granting scholarships to Ugandans. She urged the students to uphold responsibility during their time in Iran, viewing it as an opportunity not only for education but also for personal growth.

Additionally, a group of parents present at the gathering expressed their appreciation to Iran and President Museveni's government for providing their children with this valuable opportunity.
