The Resident City Commissioner (RCC) of Lira City, Mr. Egole Lawrence, has commended the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) team for their exceptional role in supporting government programs across the Lango sub-region.

Speaking on Saturday, June 14, 2025, during the swearing-in of newly elected National Resistance Movement (NRM) structural leaders in Lango, Mr. Egole praised the ONC for its efforts in monitoring and ensuring the smooth implementation of government projects.

“I want to appreciate the ONC team for the excellent work they are doing to ensure that government programs are delivered effectively and efficiently in our region. Their contribution has not gone unnoticed, and we are thankful for their commitment,” he remarked.

Mr. Egole further encouraged NRM leadership in the region to strengthen collaboration with the ONC, especially under the guidance of regional coordinator Ms. Langol Prossy. He emphasized that this partnership is essential for driving sustainable development in Lango.

“We urge the NRM to work closely with the ONC to help our region grow and prosper. Ms. Langol Prossy and her team have demonstrated exceptional dedication, and by working together, we can accomplish even more,” he added.

According to stakeholders, the RCC’s appeal for closer collaboration between NRM structures and the ONC presents a strategic opportunity to boost socio-economic development in Lango. By combining resources and expertise, both institutions can improve public service delivery and achieve greater impact.

“We are committed to working with all stakeholders to ensure Lango continues to develop and provide opportunities for its people. We look forward to a productive partnership with the NRM and ONC,” Mr. Egole concluded.
