Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has joined religious leaders, liberation veterans, families of fallen heroes and citizens at the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) in Kyambogo for the Spiritual Revival of the Fallen Warriors.
The gathering brings together Ugandans to remember and honour men and women who lost their lives during Uganda’s liberation struggle and to reflect on their contribution to the country.
Nabbanja’s participation highlights the significance of the commemoration, which combines prayer, remembrance and reflection on Uganda’s history.
Religious leaders led participants in prayers for the fallen heroes, their families and the country, while veterans and families gathered to remember the sacrifices made during the liberation struggle.
The event also provides an opportunity for younger generations to learn about Uganda’s history and understand the experiences and sacrifices of those who participated in the liberation struggle.
Through the Spiritual Revival of the Fallen Warriors, participants are paying tribute to the fallen while keeping their stories and contributions part of the country’s national memory.
