President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni commended the Government of Egypt for its vital support in supplying Uganda with foot-and-mouth disease vaccines and welcomed the decision to establish a vaccine manufacturing facility in Uganda. He emphasised that economic cooperation remains central to Africa’s collective progress and praised His Excellency for prioritising business-driven initiatives.

The President highlighted the shared commitment to advancing production, trade, job creation, electricity generation, and irrigation development—critical pillars for improving the livelihoods of citizens in both countries.

Strengthening Uganda–Egypt Relations Through Economic Cooperation

As part of the bilateral discussions, several Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) were signed, covering key areas such as trade and investment, agriculture, water resource management, community development, and diplomatic collaboration.
