At the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni met and held constructive engagements with four groups: former members of the National Unity Platform (NUP), Muslim supporters, students from higher institutions under the Sauti ya Vijana platform, and members of the Unstoppable group. The groups pledged their support, and the President expressed his appreciation for their confidence and commitment to national development.

President Museveni urged them to work closely with the government to ensure the full implementation of free education in government schools, emphasizing that no child should be charged illegally. He also called upon citizens to elect leaders who are capable of effectively monitoring government programmes, including the availability of medicines in public health facilities and the proper enforcement of free education policies.

The President strongly condemned corruption in all its forms, warning against reports of jobs being sold at the district level and the theft of drugs from government hospitals. He stressed that such practices undermine service delivery and must come to an end.

On economic empowerment, President Museveni emphasized the importance of wealth creation, encouraging every household to join the money economy through the Parish Development Model (PDM) and other government initiatives. He noted that Uganda’s economy is performing well, with steady growth and surplus production in many sectors, positioning the country on a strong path toward shared prosperity.
