President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni this afternoon met with the NRM Parliamentary Caucus at State House Entebbe, where he provided strategic guidance on the Government’s priorities for the Financial Year 2026/2027. The discussions focused on aligning national planning with key development goals, as well as underscoring the importance of the Protection of Sovereignty Bill, 2025 in safeguarding Uganda’s independence and interests.

During the meeting, President Museveni and the legislators reached a shared position on prioritizing critical sectors that drive Uganda’s socio-economic transformation. Emphasis was also placed on promoting scientific innovation as a cornerstone for long-term growth, alongside preparations to successfully host AFCON 2027.

In addition, the President highlighted the importance of targeted interventions such as restocking programs in the sub-regions of Teso, Lango, and Acholi to boost household incomes and agricultural productivity.
