Namubiru Rashidah’s Success Story Shows the Power of PDM in Fighting Poverty Through Wealth Creation

Namubiru Rashidah, a PDM beneficiary from Butambala District started rearing goats with PDM money and has multiplied her business. Today, she has eight goats, with three about to give birth. She has also diversified her endeavours and has an acre of coffee. This is a true testament to what we have been telling Ugandans all this time: fight poverty by engaging in wealth creation activities. This money is not for the government; it is for the wananchi. Like Namubiru did, use that money, and after 24 months, return it to your SACCO so that others can borrow. We are considering increasing it to Shs200 million per parish.
