Uganda Launches Official CHAN 2024 Branding Ahead of Historic Tournament

President Yoweri Museveni, alongside First Lady Janet Museveni, officially launched the logo, jersey, and media channels for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) today at Kololo. The tournament represents more than just a sporting event; it serves as a platform to enhance Uganda’s global image and create new business opportunities.

“Since assuming leadership, we have prioritized peace and expanded access to education. Today, we are investing in infrastructure, building modern stadiums, and boosting sports development,” President Museveni said. “I am pleased with our readiness to host CHAN 2024. This tournament has positively challenged us to act, and we embrace that responsibility.”

Uganda will co-host the championship alongside Kenya and Tanzania, a move that underscores the importance of regional cooperation and unity across East Africa.

President Museveni concluded by wishing all participating teams the very best in the tournament.
