This evening at Nakasero State Lodge, Yoweri Museveni received Jakaya Kikwete for a high-level discussion focused on regional peace and security.
The meeting addressed the current situation in South Sudan, with both leaders underscoring the critical need for sustained dialogue among all parties involved. President Museveni highlighted Uganda’s continued commitment to supporting peace initiatives, noting that stability in South Sudan—particularly in the Equatorial region where many Ugandans reside—remains vital for regional security, economic growth, and shared prosperity.
