I Congratulate Hajji Mohammed Zziwa Katanyoreka, an established farmer in Mpigi District. He manages 5 acres of land with 2,000 layer chickens, 1 acre of coffee intercropped with bananas with 4 dairy cows. From poultry alone, Hajji earns UGX 550,000 daily more than many in offices. This is what NRM emphasizes, hard work and productivity. Though Hajji and Hajjat are Muslims, their diligence reminds me of the parable of the sower- some seeds fell on good soil, grew, and bore fruit. That is what they have done through careful planning (ekibalo). I thank them for putting our teachings into action. We will continue to support them.
