Maama Janet and I attended the belated World Teachers’ Day celebrations at Lugogo this afternoon. I would like to congratulate all the teachers, especially the 12 Ugandan teachers who excelled in performance this year and received awards for their achievements. Despite the challenges facing the country, the NRM government has prioritized mass education, resulting in an increase in the literacy rate from 43 percent to 76 percent.
