President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Zombo District for the warm reception extended to him during his recent visit.
In his address, the President noted that Uganda is now enjoying unprecedented peace across all regions—a remarkable achievement made possible by the steadfast principles of the National Resistance Movement (NRM). He emphasized that a key foundation of this peace is the NRM’s long-standing ideology of rejecting sectarianism based on religion or tribe.
President Museveni posed a reflective question to the people: “If you support sectarianism based on tribes or religion, how can you effectively build a national army?” He highlighted that Uganda’s stability and security are rooted in unity and the strength of a truly national army that represents all citizens.
During his engagement with residents, the people of Zombo raised pressing concerns, including the need for the construction of a district hospital and improvements to the area’s road infrastructure. The President assured them that government will work to address these priorities to further enhance service delivery and development in the district.
