President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni recently hosted a luncheon in Entebbe for Ugandan Muslims who were supported to undertake the pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

President Museveni congratulated the pilgrims on completing their journey and fulfilling the fifth pillar of Islam, a significant spiritual milestone.

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) remains committed to supporting initiatives that enable Ugandan Muslims who cannot afford the pilgrimage to undertake this sacred journey. President Museveni emphasised the importance of developing a transparent and fair selection process, ensuring that all eligible applicants have an equal opportunity to participate without unnecessary competition.
