President Museveni Calls for Peaceful Political Dialogue During Meeting on Sudan

Today at State House Entebbe, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni hosted Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, head of the Rapid Support Forces, who paid a courtesy visit to brief him on the current situation in Sudan.

During the meeting, President Museveni received an update on the latest developments and ongoing challenges affecting Sudan and the wider region. He underscored the importance of dialogue, mutual understanding, and inclusive engagement among all stakeholders as the foundation for lasting peace.

President Museveni emphasized that a peaceful political solution remains the most sustainable path toward stability in Sudan. He noted that constructive dialogue and regional cooperation are essential in preventing further conflict and in promoting long-term security and prosperity for the people of Sudan and neighboring countries.

The President reiterated Uganda’s commitment to supporting efforts that encourage peaceful resolution and regional stability through diplomatic engagement and cooperation.
