Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs at the Office of the NRM National Chairman (ONC), met with NRM leaders and vulnerable groups in Kampala at Nakivubo Blue Primary School. Joining her was Kampala Minister Hajjat Minsa Kabanda.

The meeting, which included the elderly and people with disabilities (PWDs), focused on how PWDs could be more involved in government programs like the Parish Development Model (PDM) and Emyooga. They also voiced their support for President Yoweri Museveni's 2026 candidacy.

During her speech, Hajjat Namyalo thanked the people of Kampala for their honesty and appreciated Minister Kabanda’s work in improving the city. She also handed out household items, including food packages, to help support the vulnerable groups.

“We’ve secured wheelchairs for PWDs, and they’ll be delivered soon,” Namyalo said, noting that the lists of beneficiaries had already been submitted. She also talked about delays in PDM but assured the audience that the ONC had launched its own programs to meet people’s immediate needs. Namyalo emphasized that her focus was on grassroots empowerment, not politics.

“I can help you with government programs like PDM and Emyooga. Tell me what you need, and I’ll mobilize resources to help you generate income,” she said, promising to continue supporting the elderly, PWDs, and youth when she returns to Kampala Central Division.

Minister Kabanda expressed gratitude for the support of Kampala residents and praised Namyalo for her dedication to ensuring President Museveni’s 2026 candidacy. She urged citizens to participate in programs like PDM to better their lives and reassured those waiting for funds that support was on the way.

“We need unity within the NRM to advance President Museveni’s agenda,” Kabanda said, comparing Namyalo’s care for the people to that of the President. She also praised Namyalo for her hands-on work with local communities, calling her "Chief Muzzukulu."

Former Minister Hajat Sarah Kanyike, now a Senior Presidential Advisor for Kampala affairs, also attended the meeting. She commended Namyalo and Kabanda for their efforts to uplift women and praised President Museveni for involving vulnerable groups in government programs.

The meeting ended on a joyful note, with donations of food and other items for the leaders. Namyalo also gave 1 million Ugandan shillings to help with transport costs and promised to return with more support to help create jobs and reduce poverty.
