I stressed that power should be abundant and affordable, ideally not exceeding 5 cents per kilowatt hour. To overcome Africa's challenges, we must shift from subsistence agriculture to manufacturing and services. Lastly, I urged the young officers to embrace ideology. The environment, energy, integration all are linked to the right ideological path. Africa’s mistakes have largely been ideological. Only by embracing interest over identity can Africa achieve her historical missions.
