Before leaving Bushenyi, I paid tribute to the late Canon Keroi Bashaasha, the wife of Mr. Yorokamu Bashaasha, a long-time friend and cadre. I thank the Lord for giving Mzee Bashaasha and me the gift of life; we have been together for the last 64 years. I remember him joining school in 1960, a year after I had joined in 1959. I thank him for his loyalty and steadfastness over the years. I extend my condolences to the entire Bashaasha family and thank the Lord for standing with them in mourning their beloved mother. May God give them strength and comfort during this time. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
