The Manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), SPA Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, has reaffirmed her dedication to advancing girl-child education and community development through tangible support initiatives in Iganga District.
This commitment was highlighted during the 2nd Thanawi graduation ceremony at Ibun Baz Girls Secondary School in Busei, where she was represented by Sheikh Erias Kigozi. Addressing the 21 graduates, Sheikh Kigozi delivered a message on behalf of Hajjat Namyalo, encouraging the students to apply their knowledge in service to society and to become agents of positive change.
He emphasized that empowering girls through education, grounded in strong moral values, remains a critical pillar for sustainable national development and transformation.
As part of her continued support to education, Hajjat Namyalo contributed funds towards the construction of the Namyalo Hadijah Science Laboratory Block at the school—an initiative aimed at strengthening science education and providing students with improved learning facilities. In addition, Sheikh Kigozi pledged further support by donating 30 bags of cement to boost the project’s progress.
The event was attended by local leaders, including the newly elected Iganga District LC5 Chairperson, Muhando Shabiru Isabirye, who commended Hajjat Namyalo’s empowerment programmes. He noted that her initiatives continue to positively impact communities across political divides, particularly in promoting education and youth development.
In a further demonstration of its commitment to academic excellence, the ONC announced that top-performing students may be considered for its Umrah initiative—an incentive programme designed to reward outstanding academic achievement.
This initiative underscores the ONC’s broader vision of nurturing well-rounded, educated, and socially responsible young women who can contribute meaningfully to Uganda’s future.
