The Office of the National Chairman (ONC), led by Manager and Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, has today expanded its Ramadan outreach program by delivering food packages to Muslim students at Muteesa I Royal University and Buganda Royal Institute.
The donation was officially received by Mr. Siraje Kizito, Patron of the Muslim Students Association at the institutions, who expressed sincere appreciation for the timely support. He commended both the ONC and Hajjat Namyalo for recognizing the challenges faced by fasting students during the holy month of Ramadan.
“We thank the Office of the National Chairman and Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo for thinking about Muslim students during this fasting period. Such support helps many students who may find it difficult to balance academic responsibilities and daily meals during Ramadan,” Mr. Kizito noted.

While addressing the students, Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye encouraged them to remain disciplined, focused, and grounded in faith as they pursue their academic journeys. She emphasized the importance of good character and personal responsibility as key pillars for success.
In addition to the food distribution, Hajjat Namyalo announced a financial contribution of Shs10 million towards the construction of a dedicated Muslim students’ facility. She explained that the donation is aimed at improving the welfare and supporting the spiritual development of Muslim students within the institutions.
“We shall also engage our well-positioned Muslim brothers and sisters to support this initiative, so that students can have a proper space for their activities and prayers,” she added.
The initiative reflects ONC’s continued commitment to community support, particularly during significant religious periods, ensuring that students are both physically supported and spiritually empowered.
