This morning, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni engaged with his Bazzukulu during the Jazz with Jajja conversation held at Nakasero, moderated by his daughter, Natasha. The interactive session provided an opportunity for open dialogue with young people on national priorities and values.

During the engagement, President Museveni reminded the youth that while dancing, football, and entertainment are important aspects of life, young people must not lose sight of the fundamentals of development. He emphasised the importance of economic transformation, the regional market, and the East African Federation, noting that sustainable development must always take precedence over pleasure.

President Museveni also shared what continues to motivate his leadership: a deep love for himself as a Muhoororo of the Cow Clan, as a Ugandan, and as an African. He expressed his strong commitment to the well-being of the people and future generations, stressing that history shows the world is often unforgiving to the weak. For this reason, he has consistently worked to ensure that Africans remain strong, independent, and never return to any form of subjugation.

The President reaffirmed that more such engagements with young people will continue as part of fostering dialogue, mentorship, and shared responsibility for Uganda’s and Africa’s future.
