Earlier today at Solo Heights Hotel, the NRM Vice Chairperson for the Central Region and Minister for Microfinance, Hon. Haruna Kasolo, held a consultative meeting with health workers from across Kyotera District. The meeting aimed to identify key challenges affecting healthcare service delivery and explore practical solutions to improve the sector.
During the engagement, Hon. Kasolo addressed a major concern at Kalisizo Hospital, where a government-supplied X-ray machine has remained non-operational. He issued a firm directive for the immediate activation of the equipment to ensure residents can access essential diagnostic services.

The Minister also encouraged health workers to consider supplementary income-generating activities to enhance their financial well-being. In addition, he reaffirmed the government’s continued support for their SACCO, emphasizing financial empowerment as a key pillar in improving service delivery.
The meeting highlighted a strong spirit of collaboration between government leadership and healthcare professionals, reinforcing a shared commitment to strengthening healthcare services in Kyotera District.
