Empowering Kampala's Ghettos: A Gift from the President

In a remarkable event in Bushenyi District, The Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs in the Office of the NRM National Chairman (ONC), Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye graced the Youth Day Celebrations with a powerful initiative aimed at uplifting the community. The focus was on empowering the youth, women, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and the elderly in their collective effort to combat poverty through the establishment of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Taking inspiration from successful models elsewhere, the initiative included the provision of essential capital items crucial for starting businesses. These items ranged from welding machines to G-nuts machines and popcorn machines. The goal was clear: to equip and support individuals from various demographics in their entrepreneurial endeavours, fostering economic growth and self-sustainability within the community
