In a recent event organized by the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), led by Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, staff members were given an opportunity to delve into poultry farming as a means of wealth creation. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, through Namyalo, has been advocating for wealth creation across Uganda by providing tools and resources for profit generation.
Namyalo emphasized the importance of empowering the staff, as they are instrumental in spreading the message of wealth creation to areas beyond her reach. She highlighted the ONC's efforts in supporting thousands of Ugandans and stressed the significance of hands-on experience in promoting entrepreneurship.
However, Namyalo also cautioned against misusing the support provided, warning that the office would monitor beneficiaries to ensure the intended purpose is fulfilled. Each beneficiary received one hundred chicks and a 25kg sack of feeds as startup capital, with the promise of further support from the Office in the future.
The initiative aims to uplift people out of poverty by equipping them with the means to establish sustainable poultry farms. Namyalo encouraged beneficiaries to utilize the resources effectively and showcase the impact during future inspections, emphasizing the goal of transforming lives through entrepreneurship
