This afternoon, the Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs and Personal Assistant to the President, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye—popularly known as Chief Muzzukulu—made an unannounced visit to Katwe Kikko, the designated venue for the upcoming empowerment event organised by the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), scheduled for 2nd July 2025.
During her visit, Hajjat Namyalo inspected the venue and consulted with the ONC advance team to assess the progress of logistical arrangements and mobilisation efforts. She emphasised the importance of inclusivity and transparency in selecting beneficiaries, noting that the initiative should align with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s vision of economic empowerment for all Ugandans.
Hajjat Namyalo also convened a strategic meeting with the Deputy Resident City Commissioner (RCC) for Makindye Division to boost coordination ahead of the event. Their discussion focused on key operational aspects, including security measures, crowd control, and effective community mobilisation.
Hajjat Namyalo reaffirmed that the ONC’s empowerment programs are tailored to support youth, women, and other vulnerable groups by providing them with start-up tools and financial capital to encourage self-sufficiency.
She further called on local leaders and stakeholders to actively support the ONC’s mission and contribute to the successful delivery of the upcoming event.
The 2nd July empowerment event is anticipated to draw thousands of participants from Kampala and surrounding areas, marking a significant milestone in ONC’s 2025 outreach activities.
