Empowering the Future, Mentoring Youth for Wealth Creation and Spiritual Growth

Today, I closed the National Catholic Youth Conference at Our Lady of Lourdes Bujumbura Cathedral in Hoima City, which brought together over 15,000 youth from the East African region. As a former youth who has been active from a young age, I am happy with the Catholic Church for organizing this conference. They are reinforcing the government's efforts to empower youth to become wealth creators rather than mere spectators. Mentoring young people is very good because when they go without mentorship, it may lead to dangerous consequences in the country. When we talk of the youths, we shouldn’t talk of only biology, you must also add ideology and spirituality. This is what the Catholic Church is doing and I'm very happy with that.
