Commissioning the 132 KV Mirama-Kabale Transmission Line

On my way from Kisoro, I stopped in Hamuko at the Kabale substation, where I commissioned the 132 KV Mirama-Kabale Transmission Line. We are making significant progress. The NRM has a clear vision of empowering our people. Peace and infrastructure like electricity are essential. The new power line will support the establishment of large industries, as the previous 33 KV line was insufficient for heavy production like steel. Despite the availability of iron ore in the area, the lack of adequate power limited local job creation.
