President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni this afternoon presided over the graduation ceremony of 21 officers who successfully completed the National Security and Strategic Studies Course at the National Defence College in Buikwe District.
The President congratulated the graduates on reaching this important milestone and encouraged them to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired in providing strategic leadership that strengthens Uganda’s security and supports national development.
President Museveni emphasized the importance of building a strong centre of gravity for Africa by enhancing defence capabilities across all domains, including land, air, sea, and space. He noted that a well-prepared and capable defence force is essential for safeguarding the country's sovereignty and contributing to regional stability.
He also underscored the critical role of wealth creation in ensuring lasting peace and security, stressing that economic prosperity remains the foundation upon which sustainable security is built.
President Museveni wished the graduates success in their future assignments and expressed confidence that they would make a meaningful contribution to Uganda’s continued peace, security, and socio-economic transformation.
