The Manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, has called on Ugandans of all faiths to join a nationwide spiritual revival ahead of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s birthday on September 15.
This year’s commemoration will be held under the theme “Spiritual Revival of Our Fallen Warriors,” celebrating the men and women of the National Resistance Army (NRA) who sacrificed their lives for Uganda’s peace and stability.
Hajjat Namyalo said the occasion will not only honour the country’s heroes but also unite Ugandans in prayer as the nation seeks God’s guidance in overcoming challenges such as poverty, unemployment and limited access to quality healthcare.
The main celebration will take place at the ONC headquarters in Kyambogo on September 15, bringing together religious leaders, veterans, families of fallen heroes and members of the public.
Namyalo encouraged Ugandans to remember the sacrifices of heroes including Fred Rwigyema, Gen. Elly Tumwine and many others whose dedication helped shape modern Uganda.
She said the commemoration is also an opportunity for the Bazzukulu to renew their commitment to patriotism, unity and creating better opportunities for future generations.
“As we honour our fallen heroes, let us also recommit ourselves to building a stronger, more prosperous Uganda for every citizen,” Hajjat Namyalo said.
