President Museveni, alongside Maama Janet and the NRM leadership, held the first rally of the day in Mitooma District, where he reaffirmed his dedication to supporting large-scale farmers. He emphasised the government’s plan to expand access to fertilisers through a dedicated national fund, building on the initiatives that will be strengthened in the next term.
The President highlighted infrastructure improvements, noting that the Ishaka–Kashenshero road has already been worked on and will be extended to Rukungiri to boost connectivity and economic activity. He also responded to community concerns regarding wildlife damaging crops, directing the Uganda Wildlife Authority to install an electric fence around Imaramagambo Forest to protect farmers’ livelihoods.

Addressing wealth creation, President Museveni reminded residents that development begins at the household level. He encouraged families to fully participate in government programs designed to lift citizens out of poverty, emphasising that these initiatives belong to the people. He referenced the long-standing message of wealth creation, first preached in the 1960s alongside leaders like the Otafiires and reinforced in the 1996 Manifesto.
This engagement underscores President Museveni’s continued focus on empowering communities, strengthening agriculture, improving infrastructure, and promoting sustainable household prosperity.
