While addressing residents of Dokolo this afternoon, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni strongly encouraged families to embrace the Parish Development Model (PDM) as a pathway into the money economy. He emphasized that while PDM funding provides a strong foundation, additional interventions will continue to complement it, especially for projects such as fish pond construction.
Highlighting the agricultural potential of regions like Lango, Teso, Bukedi, and Busoga, where swamps are abundant, President Museveni noted that establishing fish ponds would greatly enhance fish production and improve household incomes.
The President further appealed to the people of Lango to continue supporting the National Resistance Movement (NRM), stressing that unlike others, the NRM is a party of action and results.
President Museveni announced that the NRM campaign will proceed tomorrow with engagements in Alebtong and Otuke, where the message of socio-economic transformation will continue to be shared.
