President Museveni Highlights Development Achievements in Alebtong District

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni extended his gratitude to the people of Alebtong for the warm reception during his recent visit to the Lango Sub-Region.

Presenting the government’s development scorecard for Alebtong District, the President outlined key achievements, including:

  1. Electricity Expansion – Power connections that are steadily transforming livelihoods.
  2. Improved Road Infrastructure – A well-maintained murrum road from Lira, with plans underway to upgrade it through Aloi, Apala, and Alebtong up to Abim.
  3. Education Development – 76 government UPE schools, 122 private schools, and 7 USE schools, ensuring broader access to education for children in the district.
  4. Socio-Economic Empowerment – Initiatives such as the Parish Development Model (PDM), Youth Funds, Emyooga, and Women Funds that continue to uplift communities across different sectors.

President Museveni Highlights Development Achievements in Alebtong District

The President emphasised his commitment to safeguarding national resources, assuring Ugandans that funds will not be wasted on luxuries such as imported whiskey and perfumes. Instead, resources will be directed towards strengthening and expanding the country’s economic foundation through strategic investments in roads, railways, electricity, and security.
