The Office of the NRM National Chairman (ONC) held its annual end-of-year prayers on Monday, 23rd December 2024, at its headquarters in Kyambogo. The prayers brought together believers from all religious denominations to give thanks and seek blessings for the coming year.
The event was led by Pastor Tom Mugerwa of Mutundwe Christian Fellowship, with the former Chief Kadhi of Uganda, Sheikh Abdu Obeid Kamulegeya, among the esteemed religious leaders who graced the occasion.
In addition to the religious leaders, the prayers were attended by dignitaries, including Members of Parliament, Cabinet Ministers, and other notable guests, who joined in seeking divine guidance for the nation’s leadership and future.
In her remarks, ONC Manager SPA/PA Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye expressed gratitude to God for helping the Office navigate the challenges of 2024 and prayed for a successful 2025. She emphasized that the coming year will be pivotal, with heightened political activity as the nation prepares for the 2026 General Elections.
Hajjat Namyalo also prayed for the NRM National Chairman, President Yoweri Museveni, and First Lady Janet Museveni, asking the Almighty to grant them strength and wisdom as they continue to lead Uganda.
The prayers drew multitudes of attendees, who filled the ONC Headquarters in Kyambogo to capacity, underscoring the unity and devotion among Ugandans in seeking divine guidance for the country's leadership and progress.
The Office of the NRM National Chairman remains committed to promoting unity, inclusivity, and development as we embark on a new year filled with opportunities and challenges.
Monday's prayers were testament to that.
