Welcoming President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and Celebrating Somalia’s EAC Membership and UN Security Council Role

I welcomed His Excellency Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, and his delegation this afternoon at Nakasero. I congratulate Somalia on becoming a member of the EAC and on being an incoming non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for 2025-2026.
